体験や講話を通してご来場の皆さまにお伝えします。
美術品であり、実用品でもある漆器。

県内で活動を行う作家の皆さまにご協力頂き、

魅力的な作品を一堂に会する特別な機会であるだけに止まらず、

実際に触れて使用する、

自分で作ってみる場を設ける事により体感として漆芸の良さをご理解頂けたらと思います。

Lacquer art of Okinawa which has been brought up in comfortable
subtropical climate climate for lacquer.
Through a experience and a lecture as well as by displaying the real artwork,

models, andexplanation panels, we introduce to visitors about its history,

tradition, technique, maneuver, design and the science,

and inform restoration techniques which support
today’s lacquer art.
Lacquerware is not only artwork, but also used as daily necessity.
We hope visitors will understand and appreciate the lacquer art bybodily

sensation of experiencing of using, touching and making it by themselves.
